Piilani Schneider

A born entrepreneur, Pi'i brings an infectious energy and vision to everything she undertakes. Two of her business successes include a wine distributorship, which she jointly started in 1985; and Mapuana Gallery, launched in 1997 with Mapuana. Currently, in addition to making people look good with her photos, Pi'i runs Mapuana's virtual art gallery, professionally organizes homes & businesses and recently joined the team at The March of Dimes.

Pi'i truly loves keiki, and a calling to be involved in community service. Pi'i had volunteered at her children schools for at least a decade and had spear-headed events to benefit the victims of 9-11 and Hurricane Katrina. Accompanying a team of volunteers and members of government, she took leis to the keiki near Ground Zero in NY, PA and VA ~ October of 2001. In December of 2005, she was a member of a mission team assisting in the 'mud-out' of homes in the 9th Ward devastated from Hurricane Katrina.

Pi'i stays closer to home these days with her community service. She is a canoe racing coach & a volunteer photographer with the Special Olympics, Heart Gallery Hawai'i and numerous non-profit companies.

Pi'i was a Therapeutic Foster Parent.  Her calling to mentor 'at risk' teenagers soon to be aged out of the system stems from her compassion for Heart Gallery Hawaii's keiki.  "These kids are not bad, they are just stuck in a bad situation", said Pi'i.  Pii's infectious energy is contagious and you will find, you can't help but smile.
