Piilani Schneider

A born entrepreneur, Pi'i brings an infectious energy and vision to everything she undertakes. Two of her business successes include a wine distributorship, which she jointly started in 1985; and Mapuana Gallery, launched in 1997 with Mapuana. Currently, in addition to making people look good with her photos, Pi'i runs Mapuana's virtual art gallery, and professionally organizes homes & businesses.

Pi'i truly loves keiki, and a calling to be involved in community service. Pi'i has volunteered at her children's schools for the last decade and has spear-headed numerous events to benefit the victims of 9-11 and Hurricane Katrina. Accompanying a team of volunteers and members of government, she took leis to the keiki near Ground Zero in NY, PA and VA in October of 2001. In December of 2005, she was a member of a mission team from Hawai'i Kai Church, assisting in the 'mud-out' of homes in the 9th Ward devastated from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

Pi'i stays closer to home these days with her community service. She is a canoe racing coach & a volunteer photographer with the Special Olympics and Heart Gallery Hawai'i.

Pi'i recently became licensed as a Therapeutic Foster Parent.  Her calling is to mentor 'at risk' teenagers soon to be aged out of the system.  This passion stems from her volunteerism at Heart Gallery Hawai'i.  "These kids are not bad, they are just stuck in a bad situation", said Pi'i.  Pii's infectious energy is contagious and you will find, you can't help but open yourself up to her.
